New Tricks

Just in time for Christmas Avery has learned some new tricks to keep us smiling. First trick learned was flying with daddy. We have learned that if she is crying, usually putting her into a flying position near the ceiling will cause her to pause the crying, look around, and smile. At first her arms start pointed out, or are above her head. Then she will clench her fists and move both arms back to her sides. It is quite funny to watch the progression. She looks a bit like Ironman! Now we don't just do this when she is crying... but in play also, as she seems to rather enjoy it.She also enjoys sitting up against the couch (or a firm pillow). She really just wants to be able to look around and see everything that is going on. None of this slightly reclined stuff. She wants to be completely upright, in the action, and able to see. Now if only her next trick would be to sleep longer at night.......
