Love Me Some Baked Beans

Now I will be the first to admit that my child in no way looks undernourished. It is in fact one of the first comments we get from many people, even strangers. Luckily for her though, she is actually less chunky than her mother was at that age, and she is growing slimmer with the recently improved ability for physical mobility. That being said, my child misses no meals. She will in fact eat all day long if you let her. She is a social eater. If she sees someone else eating, then she wants some too. It doesn't matter if she has just finished eating her own meal and gestured that she was finished. She will get down from her high chair only to crawl over and pull herself up on your leg to beg for more food, your food.
Avery has her likes and rather not haves when it comes to food. But we recently discovered her affection for a certain form of legume. BAKED BEANS! Just straight out of the can Bush's Baked Beans please. My earlier attempts at giving her all organic foods aside, she really enjoys these. And Chip got some great pictures of her enjoying them at Mimi and Papa's.
Laughing at Papa. Note, the food is up past her elbows and onto her biceps.
Yes, not only baked beans, but watermelon and grape skins are stuck to her face also. And she doesn't mind a bit.
Watching our daughter learn how to feed herself is both exciting and funny. It does, however, also add quite a bit of time to mealtime clean up!

I can't believe her hair. She is starting to look more like a little girl and not a baby! Too cute.
